Are you a new member and need to be shown how to use the cardiovascular equipment, strength training machines, free weights, or simply need some advice as to the types of fitness programs available?  We'll help you gain an understanding of the fundamental principles essential to the basic conditioning, so that you can be on your way to a better you!

Also you can sign up for a FREE fitness assessment conducted by a YMCA Personal Trainer. The fitness assessment will run you through a battery of tests that cover the five components of fitness. If you are interested in this service then contact our Sports and Fitness Director for pre-test restrictions and guidelines.

The five components of fitness are:
Cardiorespiratory Endurance
Muscular Strength
Muscular Endurance
Flexibility
Body Composition

A few components have a wide variety of tests to choose from. This will also be decided in your initial consultation.

Have your body fat percentage measured to help you set and achieve your fitness goals. This can be done by contacting our Sports and Fitness Director at 660-886-9622

Who Can Participate?

After this your trainer will design an individualized program and assist you in performing the proper technique, intensity, rest and progression.
